Once in a while you find a place that makes you feel like you are an extraordinary travel planner. This gem is one of those. Super clean and beautiful little room with a lovely shower and comfortable bed. No Ac, but a pleasant floor fan to bring in some cool night air. The staff were more than accommodating, letting us check in as soon as the room was ready. Breakfast is Dutch perfection. All of the staff were kind, efficient and welcoming. We will definitely return!
Food was excellent and the service was really good. In the past years we have had dinner at the Spoorhuis several times - and while the ambiance is always great, food was sometimes a little disappointing. But last night (4/06/22) was by far the best experience. While the restaurant was full, the service was excellent and very personable. Both meat dishes (day special and bavette) were very tasty. The portion size was just enough so we completely emptied our plates. Big compliments for the chefs and the staff and management.

My wife and I had a fabulous one night layover at Het Spoorhuis! Spent most of the night at the restaurant downstairs devouring our dinner. Enjoyed a complementary shot of cognac and a glass of wine w our meals. Loved the food, the ambiance, exceptionally accommodating and lovely staff and our beautiful room;) Met dank!
The Spoorhuis is located in a historic train station a few steps away from the Amstel River in Uithoorn.
It is my second time at het Spoorhuis. I ordered two different vegetarian dishes and they seemed to be the same dish just plated differently. That said, food was well made. Maybe adding some more variety when it comes to vegetarian dishes works be good.
